Opal is thrilled to collaborate once again with the inspiring, masterful Jasper String Quartet, one of the preeminent quartets of our time, to present our third annual Summer RADiance concert at The Grey Eagle, in Asheville's beloved River Arts District.

The Jasper SQ will perform a set featuring selections by Caroline Shaw, Michelle Barzel Ross, and Reinaldo Moya. Opal SQ will offer up works by Beethoven, Bela Bartok, and a composition for Balinese gamelan by I Nyoman Windha, adapted for string quartet by Brian Baumbusch. Finally, the two quartets will combine forces and conjure up some string octet (and nonet!) magic with music by Mozart and Bach. For dessert, cello duos by Klengel and Haas.
